Job Summary:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for candidates who are looking to play a lead role in the continuing development of a Finance Function. RelateCare, a leading multinational brand, are looking for the right candidate to join the existing finance team as a Group Financial Controller. This role reports to directly to the CFO and is based in Cleveland, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

The Financial Controller will co-ordinate the day to day activities of the finance team, including:

  • Ensuring the production of timely and accurate financial accounts and reports, including submission of group reporting pack within strict deadlines
  • Preparation and review of financial reports for various stakeholders in the business
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Oversee the roll out of financial policies, procedures and controls across the company in accordance with Group policies.
  • Assisting with forecast and budget preparation
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax and statutory compliance
  • Involved in ad hoc finance duties as required

 

Desirable Qualifications:

You will have a degree in business or accounting and will hold a recognized accountancy qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience, preferably with a Big4 / Top 10 training background. You will have a good academic track record and a strong technical knowledge of audit, accounting & tax.

You will have worked in industry for at least 2 years. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process is expected, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Experience in a multinational environment would be a distinct advantage. Knowledge of Call Centers, BPO or similar businesses would be desirable.

 

Desirable Skills:

Strong computer skills with expert knowledge of excel and detailed knowledge of accounting software packages. You will have regularly use other MS Office products such as Word and PowerPoint.

Team player with good communication skills, you will be highly motivated and comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced environment with a natural ability to adapt to change.

Strong people management experience, with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are expected.

You will be detail oriented, and a self-starter, and have a high level of numeracy. Attention to detail is crucial.

You will be very commercially aware with a strong sense of business acumen.
