RelateCare & NAHAM – Partners in the Effort to Improve Access to Care

RelateCare – official Business Partner Member of NAHAM (The National Association of Healthcare Access Managers) – are currently preparing to attend the upcoming 44th Annual NAHAM Conference, to be held in Denver, Colorado on May 3-6th.

It is not the first time a team from RelateCare will attend the conference. The NAHAM Conference is considered an essential event on the calendar of any stakeholders who are concerned with improving access to healthcare.

The event itself will give attendees the opportunity to learn tools, network with peers, and share ideas with healthcare providers and vendors who see ‘access’ as one of the keys to answering the most important question in healthcare today: how we delivery better care, to more people, while reducing costs?
Beyond the building excitement for the conference, RelateCare are also very proud to announce that in the past number of weeks, RelateCare have significantly increased the number of employees who are Certified Healthcare Access Associates (CHAA). This is part of RelateCare’s philosophy of continuous improvement, always seeking ways to develop and offer more value to our partners and clients.

The CHAA was developed by The National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) in order to promote the highest standards of patient access services. The credentials ensure that those working at the front line of patient access are proficient and knowledgeable in the processes surrounding patient access.
The exam itself addresses three different areas of expertise: Patient Access Foundations, Pre-arrival, and Arrival. Candidates are required to demonstrate proficiency by answering examinations questions that evaluate their knowledge of facts, concepts, and processes required to complete certain patient access-related tasks.
For example, candidates must display an understanding of patient expectations and concerns, whether financial, clinical, emotional or other. The candidate must also display proficiency in:

  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Revenue cycle and Billing
  • Information Systems
  • Resource Management
  • Scheduling Processes
  • Pre-Registration
  • Admission
  • Patient and Family Experience

As experts in the field of patient access, patient communication, and patient engagement solutions, RelateCare are trusted by some of the leading healthcare organizations in the USA to connect patients with providers in a way that is seamless, streamlined and efficient. By attaining this certification and continuing to partner with NAHAM, RelateCare are primed to continue to offer the very best in healthcare communications solutions.
