At RelateCare, our commitment to health and well-being extends beyond the care we provide patients. As part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and staff wellness efforts, we proudly support Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women globally, and early detection is critical for improving survival rates. RelateCare actively participates in this annual campaign to raise awareness and promote action across our organization and the communities we serve.
Throughout October, RelateCare has been involved in awareness-raising activities designed to educate staff and encourage early detection. A highlight of these efforts was the “Pink Out” event in our Little Rock office on October 15th, led by Julie Boyd and her team, RelateCare’s US Breast Cancer Awareness Advocate’s. This initiative brought employees together, encouraging them to wear pink and show their support for those affected by breast cancer. The event underscored the importance of regular screenings and early detection, which can significantly impact outcomes.
Reflecting on the event, Julie Boyd stated: “Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity for all of us to come together and recognize the importance of early detection. Participating in these events aims to raise awareness and encourage everyone to be proactive about their health.”
RelateCare has a long-standing tradition of supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In previous years, we have shared powerful survivor stories from within our organization to emphasize the life-saving impact of early detection and the importance of self-examinations and screenings. This year, we continue to educate and engage staff, ensuring that breast health remains a priority for everyone.
While breast cancer awareness is our primary focus this October, we also acknowledge World Mental Health Month with activities where some our employees attended a virtual coffee morning via Microsoft Teams hosted by Emer O’Neill and Tyler Greene. This reinforces RelateCare’s holistic approach to staff well-being, recognizing that physical and mental health are closely linked and essential to maintaining a healthy workforce.
By promoting breast cancer and mental health awareness, RelateCare remains committed to creating a supportive, informed, health-conscious work environment. These initiatives reflect our broader mission to prioritize staff health as a critical component of our HR and CSR strategies, ensuring our teams are empowered to care for themselves and their patients.
All of us at RelateCare would like to express our deepest thanks to those who participated in Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For more information on Breast Cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment, follow the links below.
