RelateCare Recognised As One Of Ireland’s Best Places To Work

RelateCare is delighted to have been named one of Ireland's Best Places To Work in a recent survey by The Sunday Times for 2024.

The inaugural Best Places to Work survey By The Sunday Times, supported by WorkL, highlighted many employee focused initiatives in RelateCare, such as team outings, volunteering opportunities, themed office celebrations, and virtual events like quizzes and book clubs. These initiatives significantly fostered strong employee relationships and were instrumental in RelateCare’s recognition as one of Ireland’s Best Places To Work.

The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work mantra is that happy employees, make successful workplaces. This underscores a crucial point: Happy staff are not just a pleasant addition but a fundamental necessity for organisations to thrive. The survey organisers agree that companies that boast the most motivated employees, like RelateCare, will thrive.

RelateCare’s unwavering commitment to enhancing its team’s welfare, including access to fitness facilities, mindfulness workshops, counselling services, and health screenings and offering remote work, flexible hours, and compressed work weeks, all contribute to a healthy work-life balance. These efforts were instrumental in RelateCare gaining recognition as one of Ireland’s Best Places To Work.

As an organisation that provides consulting, administrative and clinical support, working with some of North America’s most prominent hospitals, RelateCare have a thriving workforce of over 1,100+, putting it in the ‘Big Company’ category and the Sunday Times Best Places to Work awards.

About the survey
The survey uses 26 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties to most accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace.

Questions included:

• Am I happy with the hours I work?
• Am I fairly paid?
• Am I recognised when I do something well?
• Am I something worthwhile?
• Am I proud to work for my organisation?

To be successfully accredited as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work, organisations must achieve a minimum 70 per cent overall engagement score. This is a rigorous standard that RelateCare is proud to have met, reflecting our commitment to creating a positive and engaging work environment.

Indeed, the Sunday Times, in discussing RelateCare, commented that it was one of the Irish Companies that had ‘cracked the code on how to motivate their teams’.

The banding threshold for the Sunday Times Best Places To Work awards uses independent and WorkL-commissioned research on employee engagement initiatives. Support for this research comes from WorkL’s benchmarking data of over 70,000 organisations.

Organisations were required to distribute the survey to as many current employees as possible to accurately represent employee sentiment. Those participating had to meet minimum average response rates to qualify for consideration.
