Over 500 guests attended the evening of festivities, including Irish government officials, diplomatic corps, and members of the Irish-American community, and the festivities kicked off with a traditional flag-raising ceremony, followed by the singing of the national anthem by a local choir.
The Ambassador’s address highlighted the strong ties between the United States and Ireland and the importance of maintaining this relationship for years to come, and guests enjoyed a variety of American and Irish delicacies, including hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, and then of course in Dublin, Guinness. The event also featured live music performances by Irish and American artists, showcasing the cultural exchange between the two nations.
Among the attendees were a wide range of Irish & US dignitaries, who praised the Ambassador for strengthening the bilateral relationship between their countries.
