RelateCare Winner of Customer Service Award at 2020 Waterford Business Awards !

RelateCare are incredibly proud to have won the Customer Service Award in the Waterford Business Awards for 2020!

The Waterford Business Awards are designed to recognize outstanding contributions and achievements by Waterford companies in a range of sectors. The judging panel looks for innovation, creativity, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

For RelateCare to win the Customer Service Award this year is particularly meaningful after the immense struggles we faced in coping with a global pandemic. To be acknowledged for our tireless commitment to customer service excellence while trying to navigate our way through uncharted territory is something we are extremely proud of.

RelateCare CEO Conor O’Byrne said: “We are delighted. It is always fantastic to be recognized locally. We weathered a lot of storms this year, with customers cancelling hospital visits in the early stages of the pandemic. But it’s a testament to our team and our staff, that we were there all the way to help healthcare organizations cope with getting patients through their system”.

Like all businesses, RelateCare was blindsided by the pandemic. But, as we provide essential services to health systems in the US and also to the HSE in Ireland, we felt it was our duty to move fast so we could help the general public here and the US patients we serve during unprecedented times.

RelateCare managed to transition 300 local Waterford employees to work from home in just under two weeks, which was an enormous achievement. It meant that we could continue to deliver the same excellent care and support to patients in Ireland and the US.

Due to the changing world post-COVID, RelateCare are uniquely positioned to provide a much needed service to the global healthcare industry: to help patients access the care they need when they need it. Further, the demand for ‘healthcare at a distance’, which is a key strength of RelateCare, is skyrocketing.

Over the last 7 years, RelateCare has grown from a company with 5 employees, to almost 600 employees across Ireland the USA. While we continue to work with some of the leading healthcare brands in the world, we are committed to our roots and connection to Waterford, operating a world-class Patient Coordination Center with our sister company, Rigneydolphin from the IDA Industrial Estate in Waterford. By managing a global brand from Waterford, RelateCare is creating a hub of patient access and patient engagement services in the South East of Ireland.

Conor O’Byrne added: “We operate 24/7 365, so this award really is for our staff and their own resilience as while things were in crisis mode, they still managed to really help individuals, patients, families every day of the year.
